Friday, February 22nd, 2008Range Stormer Spotted Dubai
Wednesday, October 31st, 2007

Is this The concept car that was uvield some year ago? I think I saw it being driven on Dubai roads!!! I’ve been trying to hunt the new Land Rover ‘Range Stormer’ in Jumairah, but after some chase in traffic, I was not able to snap a shot…. But few days later, I have received these images on my email from youae. Thanks man. ; ) The body panels looks okay. The huge wheels do not have the same off-set of wheel nuts as the famous Land Rover ‘Usually they are 5 bolts with quite a distance between them’. The fuel tank looks funny ‘O cap’… No door handles too and the T-pillar looks like a proper concept car, Cool hu! The only thing that I dislike, and you might agree with me, are those wheel arches. They are not proportioned with the body scale. The color is a bit old school. But hey! How cool is to drive a new concept car with a registered Dubai C55 Plate number.

Greener Switches
Saturday, October 27th, 2007
If only we change the way we switch on/off light switches by having 1AED coins. Did you know that your home is creating more pollution “Gas for power, hazardous materials, reflective glass heating the environment, street lights etc” than the car you drive. if you compare the hours spend in your car vs your home and the watt used, you will notice that the car is more hightech and greener than your current buildings… huh! I’m currently working on an ‘GREEN’ buildings, and I hope it’s not just the color. heh. I would like to see something like this switch in that buildings. If tenants pay everyday, like how we pay for petrol for our cars, we will be more conscious about the usage of electricity. I think this is the best way to educate the home users on how to conserve electricity and help the environment. design & prototype : Karl Zahn
CityScape in Dubai.
Wednesday, October 17th, 2007
Visited CityScape today in Dubai, and I was really impressed with some projects. I have to go back as I have a very limited time today.
You have to see this, It is with Nakheel. Amazing video/animation on a huge Dubai city model from 1973 to 2020. Great graphics with very inspiring words from the Nakheel people. Nice work
Simple physical model, which is coated with white spray. I like.
Typical huge models. This is one of the good site model.
I have to be fair, some project were also awful. And this was the silly’est. It is some Golden Gate city. and it looks like from Ali Baba Cartoon. Who is going to pay Millions of $$$ for something that is so fake. Ah!
