Bassam < Fahad > me

One of the best races I’ve ever had. Altho lost two positions to Fahad & Bassam, but What a race! Fantastic drive… I’m sure that all three of our cars passed the checkered flag all in less than 1 sec apart. I’ve took couple of risks on some corners, it was very temptin.. but didn’t work. Saw couple of potential fast corners, but it was difficult to pass by. Over all, I liked this race much better than yesterday just because I saw Buz and Fahad battle all the way to the final lap. Great race guys.
It was a very busy weekend, with so many things have been accomplished, and many good news too. El7imdella :D

1st Place on 1st Race

Friday, November 2nd, 2007

Img 1203
One of those days that you don’t expect anything special, and especially ending up First place on first race! Just can’t believe it!!!! Big thank you for Bahrain organizers, Gulf Sport and to my HUGE support team Farshid, Ali and Mohamed who had joined me from Dubai just to see the race. ;) Tomorrow I will be starting on pole position, quite exciting. The pressure is ON. Should keep it cool and low tomorrow. Might be distracted by Stanely or Buz on my tail. Who knows….. Good luck guys. Sleep well.

Day 2 - Qualification

Arrived early morning for the qualification run, and I am ‘okay’ to see myself on second raw. As I expected, my timing is way off the lead drivers by 3 seconds…. hummmm… The track/car are amazing today, after a loooong summer break, finally feels good to be back behind the wheel. Finished 4th, and thats my position for later on today’s race at 16:20. Wish me the best of luck. Inshala :D

Day 1 in Bahrain International Race track

Friday, November 2nd, 2007

Img 0976-1
First day, and here we are for my first test of the season. I’m not very sure what to expect between the high competitors, especially of those drivers that are couple of seconds faster than me. I am really exhausted now. Get some rest, and prepare for tomorrows qualification.

bye bye weekends

Saturday, September 29th, 2007

Dear Autodrome,

Our last race season, we ( My brother and I) had a great time racing here in Dubai in Autodrome. We usually had Thursday/Friday as a weekend. Thursday used to be the test/practice day, and Friday was Qualify/Race. Thursday is a good day, because we are free all day, but Fridays are always had a mid day prayers, which should not be missed.

On Friday, we have to cut our day, and leave the track for Juma’a “Friday Prayers” and then quickly head back to track so that we don’t miss our races. By changing to our racing suits and jumping into our racing cars quickly was not part of the race event! It was very frustrating as (more…)
